A NEW vintage-style tea rooms has opened in York’s Clifton Green.
Cakes D’licious has been set up in a 1940s style by owner Nikki Nelson, with the help of her parents John and Elke Pannett, who work in the new café, serving a selection of breads, light bites and home-made cakes.
Nikki set the business up with help from the Hethertons Solicitors business support unit, which helped her secure the property, employ staff and draw up contracts.
She said: “I’m delighted to be open for business.
“We’ve had a fantastic local response.”
