A DELICATESSEN in York is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
The Good Food Shop, off Bishopthorpe Road, will celebrate its birthday on Tuesday.
It has thanked the community and customers for ensuring they have lasted so long.
Owner Caroline Lewis said: “The Good Food Shop owes a lot of our success to being in the right position, in the heart of a thriving parade of shops, unique in York.
“We, as traders, feel very privileged to have such a wonderful community to supply.”
The owners recently formed a traders association which organised two street parties.
