WHEN construction group Lindum first moved to Blossom Street three car parking spaces and two community bikes were enough to service the entire newly created York team.

Five years later and Lindum York has contributed more than £50 million to the local economy, employed more than 30 people and relocated to a three acre site in Elvington.

Lindum York, which is hoping to clinch the Large Business of the Year title, has received more than £2 million investment from the Lindum Group, which plans to further expand the Projects and Maintenance services in the city in response to client demand.

The business is looking to continue to recruit additional skilled tradespeople, apprentices and professionals as Lindum York aims to develop its Elvington site into a thriving business park which also includes the creation of small/start-up business units.

Lindum York’s completed projects include new facilities for York Racecourse, The Bonding Warehouse Development in the centre of York, four years of works at Clifton Moor Retail Parkfor British Land and housing projects for Broadacres Housing Association in Burnholme, Leeming Bar and Linton-on-Ouse.
