FROM its headquarters in the village of Rillington, Ellis rules the cable cleat world.

Its British designed and manufactured cable cleats are renowned and used around the globe, with Ellis boasting a network of local distributors in 34 different countries.

For an electrical installation to be deemed safe cables need to be restrained in a manner that can withstand the forces they generate, including those generated during a short circuit. And that is the job cable cleats are specifically designed to do.

In recent years Ellis has moved away from simply being a cable cleat manufacturer and is today very much seen as the industry innovator. Customers come to Ellis with specific requirements, sometimes even challenges they worry are insurmountable, and the team in Rillington develops a solution that meets their needs. In many instances these “bespoke solutions” are further developed so they can be added to Ellis’ world-leading product portfolio.

Ellis is entering the Business Innovation of the Year award in recognition of its No Bolts cleat – a unique stackable product that was developed in response to a major safety concern raised by Network Rail. The product was recently named Innovative Industrial Product of the year by Electrical Times.
