A NEW company which “builds and grows ecommerce businesses” is vying for two titles at The Press Business Awards.

Allies was launched in May2015 by Ryan Atkins, who comes from an agency background and saw an opportunity to deliver outstanding growth for his clients by bringing together an exceptional team and layering in a methodical process.

“Ryan set about bringing together his current team of ten, including three senior director appointments, and introduced ‘growth formula’, a set of tools and processes that is proving to deliver consistent growth across agency and venture businesses.

“In addition to this new agency offering, Allies has a ventures division where we create new ecommerce companies allowing us to benefit from a greater share of the profits and an opportunity for multiple sizeable exits. We truly believe in our ability to build and grow ecommerce businesses, what better way to prove that than to do it for ourselves.

“Our first 12 months have been a rollercoaster. We have bootstrapped from the start with zero funding. From May 1, 2015 to May 1, 2016 we’ve managed to launch and start trading three new ecommerce ventures, with three more in development.”

Allies, which has entered the New Business and Business Innovation categories, has also appointed two senior directors, been shortlisted for Small Ecommerce Agency of the Year and the Innovation Award for the Northern Ecommerce Awards by Prolific North, and has reinvested heavily in new processes, staff and getting new ventures off the ground.

It puts its success thus far down to its growth formula and its deep investment in staff.
