A WEB development firm whose motto is “we do more than just websites” is vying for glory in two categories at The Press Business Awards.

See Green, which is based on Clifton Moor, York, and is in the running for the Business Innovation and Technology Business of the Year titles, said its motto had a double meaning.

“We don’t create plain old websites, we always go above and beyond what can be provided to our customers.

“But also, as a web development firm, we don’t only create websites, the skills we have allow us to offer much more to our customers.

“We love to provide customers with online solutions to their business issues, whether it’s public-facing websites or internal tools like data management or customer relation systems.”

Founded in 2008, See Green has helped hundreds of clients, manages more than 1,000 websites on behalf of customers and its websites combined receive more than a million visits each day.

“We treat each project with a personal approach and plain talking style ; we’re a truly proud Yorkshire company.” See Green said it relished working on innovative ideas that helped businesses to flourish, such as creating a bespoke tools to meet the specific needs of other companies.

“As a web development company we encounter all sorts of businesses and organisations and one of our key strengths is the ability to pinpoint exactly what each client needs. Even clients in the same sector can vary and we often play a very important part in a business’ development.

“From start-ups to established businesses, we love taking the time to understand what is holding a business back and how we can evolve that business using clever and tailored online solutions.”

While many of its clients were in Yorkshire, it worked with organisations from around the UK. “We’re working closely with a Nottingham-based legal recruitment agency to develop an in-house system for managing vacancies and candidates, and which includes progress notifications.

“One of our recent internal projects saw us teaming up with the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington.” See Green helped the museum in the way it managed its members, resulting in a solution which saved time, increased sign-ups and renewals and made the museum’s records as accuirate as possible.

Dan Taylor, See Green founder, said: “Customers will come to us with a problem to solve, and we will work to identify advanced processes and ultimately help them to save money, time or both.”

Director Anne Taylor said: “Our customers can see the value in what we offer as a business within the professional services sector, and they appreciate that investing in a robust online solution will pay dividends in the future.

“We hope to be able to roll out our solutions in a wider way, for example targeting certain sectors or business types, but we’re very much of the opinion that, where web based technology is concerned, we can do anything!

“We like to see ourselves as problem solvers, and it’s very rewarding to be able to have such a crucial effect on a person’s business and to see the improvements that our online solutions, either internal or external, can bring to a business or organisation.”

The last year had seen the company continuing to evolve its own open-source content management system (CMS), which was unveiled at last year’s Venturefest.

“We continually listen to the feedback we receive from clients and staff alike and add new features on an almost daily basis, and regularly benchmark against the big-budget competition to make sure that it offers the best functionality, performance and ease of use, saving time and money.

“We’ve contact from as far afield as Russia from other development companies using our CMS for their own projects,” the company said.
