AFTER years developing websites and marketing campaigns for customers Harrogate-based digital agency 9xb has created its own content management system.

For the past two years the company, which employs a team of 38 staff, has been building Peracto, an enterprise level content management system and Ecommerce framework.

Following the successful development of Peracto, 9xb is now vying for the title of Technology Business of the Year in the Press Business Awards.

Prior to creating Peracto, 9xb has worked with a number of high profile established digital clients include Marks & Spencer, which the firm has worked with since 2009, and Hi-Tec which it has worked with for six years.

The Harrogate Business Park-based company has also work with Bathstore, Whittard of Chelsea, PING, BHS, Post Office as well as local brands such as Cityvisitor, Eddisons Chartered Surveyors and Harrogate Spring Water.

Rob Burns, managing director of 9xb said: "Peracto was inspired by our work with retailers and brands that have a transactional relationship with their customers online.

"We recognised that they had a critical commercial need to integrate existing channels and systems into an effective omni-channel customer experience.

"Peracto has been developed so that the core system can be deployed quickly and inexpensively and then customised so it fulfils the client’s requirements exactly and can be aligned perfectly to the needs of their shoppers."
