THERE was an agonising finish to the season for junior women of Bromley Athletics Club, when they finished just four points short of promotion to the Premier League.
Competing at the Copthall Stadium, in Barnet, the throwing team was decimated by injuries, but on the track there were some fine individual performance.
Nikki Baker won the 1,500 metres in 5mins 35.6sec, while Montell Douglas and Ellie Blackwell made it a Bromley sprint double in the 100 metres, winning in 12.1sec and 12.8sec respectively.
Montell also won the A-string of the 200m in 25.0sec and Katherine Dawson, who has just stepped up in distance, hurdled her way to a new personal best when winning the B-string 100m. Ellie and Montell then teamed up with Laura Raven and Yehnine Gayle to win the 4x100m relay in 50.9sec.
