SHAOLIN warriors and ancient dragons will do battle in York this week.

The amazing spectacle of the Chinese State Circus is to hit the city and residents can expect a startling show.

Knavesmire is hosting the world-famous circus until Sunday night and those who attend will be able to see displays of contortion, athleticism and a show-stopping sight in the shape of the traditional Chinese lion dance.

Is this 'news' item just a reward for adverts placed by the circus?

To warrant inclusion in the Press, did the reporter ask a spokesperson of the State Circus about the Tibet problem?

It is expensive for a family ticket, about £40.

Are they going to be charged for clearing up their flyposter campaign?

It is an amazing spectacle , but I would not go again because of the way a young girl was treated after she failed to carry out a move which clearly caused her pain. She had to repeat the trick 5 times until she managed it . The audience felt very uncomfortable about it and showed their disapproval.I wonder how much the welfare of these children is monitored. I doubt an animal would have been treated so badly

No, because he's an entertainer, not a political diplomat. Idiot.

Dear Wanky
The clue is in the title, 'State' circus.
They represent the 'State' in this olympic year and will have been well briefed on the official line over Tibet.
