CITY OF YORK COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONSNotice is hereby given that City of York Council (The Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 24th day of July 2012 in respect of the following location. FOSS ISLAND CYCLE PATH, YORKThis Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of closed cyclepath, known as Foss Island Path between its junctions with Tang Hall Lane and Metcalfe Lane (closed cyclepath) during the period commencing at 0001hrs on 25th day of July 2012 and ending at 2400hrs on the 24th day of August 2012 or at time when the installation of underground electrical cable works, being undertaken thereon, have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for pedestrians and vehicles will be available via Tang Hall Lane, Tuke Avenue, Moore Avenue, Osbaldwick Lane, Osbaldwick Village, Metcalfe Lane and vice versa. This Order continues the temporary restrictions imposed by Notice expiring at 2400hrs on the 24th day of July 2012. read more
