CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/21) TRAFFIC ORDER 2018

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/21) TRAFFIC ORDER 2018 Notice is hereby given that on the 12th day of March 2018 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made an Order which has the effect of:
1. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R12 (Marygate) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude the area to the rear of 64 Bootham which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.

2. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R18 (WALMGATE) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area within the property boundary of Nelson House, 31 Walmgate which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.

3. Re-defining the boundary of Zone R25 (The Groves) Residents' Priority Parking Area to exclude that area within the property boundary of 64 Clarence Street which is subject of planned redevelopment for residential purposes thereby removing that area from within the Zone.

The Order comes into effect on 15th day of March 2018.
A copy of the Order incorporating relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulation thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of making of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 12th day of March 2018 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1) and (2). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (3)
and (4).
(1) BRAMHAM AVENUE, YORK
This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Bramham Avenue, York between its junctions with Bramham Road and Sanderson Court(closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 20th day of March 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(2) PERCY'S LANE, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Percy's Lane, York (closed road) during the period when works to dismantle/remove a spider crane from within the adjacent site boundary being undertaken by crane operation from the closed road that period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1800hrs on the 19th day of March 2018 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(3) CHURCH LANE, WIGGINTON This Order will prohibit pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in Church Lane, Wigginton between the southern and northern property boundary line of No 24 Plantation Way, Wigginton (closed footpath) duringthe period commencing at0900hrs on the 27th day of March 2018 and ending at 1830hrs on the 28th day of March 2018 (works period) or at a time when tree felling works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.
(4) MARKET STREET, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Market Street, York (closed road) during the period commencing at1900hrs on the 26th dayofMarch 2018and ending at 0600hrs on the 28th day of March 2018 (work period) or at time when carriageway re-instatement works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. Additionally, the 'ONE WAY' direction of traffic flow in Market Street & Feasegate is suspended during the period of physical closure to allow two-way traffic flow in the said roads when the closure is put into effect. It is envisaged that the prohibition will only be put into effect between 1900hrs and 0600hrs on each day during the works period. An alternative route for divert traffic will be available during the works period.
The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
