NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/27) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017

CITY OF YORK COUNCIL NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING, STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/27) TRAFFIC ORDER 2017 Notice is hereby given that on the 12th day of October 2017 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made an Order which has the effect of:

1. Introducing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions in York as follows:



(i) Bishopsfields Drive, on its north eastern side, between a point 26.5 metres north west of the projected north western kerbline of Phoenix Boulevard and point 21 metres south east of the projected south eastern kerbline of Phoenix Boulevard;



(ii) Bishopsfields Drive, on its north eastern side, between points 40 metres and 43.5 metres north west of the projected north western kerbline of Phoenix Boulevard;



(iii) Bishopsfields Drive, on its south western side, between a point 39 metres north west of the projected north western kerbline of Phoenix Boulevard and point 47 metres south east of the projected south eastern kerbline of Phoenix Boulevard;



(iv) Bishopsfields Drive, on its north western side, between the projected south western kerbline of Bishopsfields Drive south west for 6.5 metres;



(v) Bishopsfields Drive, on its south eastern side, between the projected south western kerbline of Bishopsfields Drive south west for 4 metres;



(vi) Mansfield Street, on its south east side, between points 4 metres (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions) and 12.5 metres north east of the north eastern highway boundary line of Foss Island Road, thereby revoking the existing 'No Waiting' Mon-Sat 8am to 6pm restrictions from within that length;



(vii) Phoenix Boulevard, on both sides, between the projected south western kerbline of Leeman Road south west for 37 metres;



(viii) Phoenix Boulevard, on both sides and turning heads, from the projected south western property boundary line of No. 52 Phoenix Boulevard south west for the remainder of its length;



(ix) St Paul's Mews, on both sides, from the projected south eastern kerbline of Watson Street south east for 16 metres;



(x) Watson Street, on its north west side, between points 43.5 metres and 48 metres north east of the highway boundary line on the north side of Holgate Road.



2. Introducing Bus Stop Clearways in Lawrence Street, York on its north side, between a point 32 metres west from the centreline of Nicholas Street and a point 52 metres west from the said line, thereby revoking Residents' Priority parking provision from within that length.



The Order comes into effect on 23rd day of October 2017.

A copy of the Order incorporating relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulation thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of making of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 12th day of October 2017 in respect of the location numbered (1). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of each of the locations numbered (2), (3) and (4).

(1) THANET ROAD, YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Thanet Road, York between its junctions with Foxwood Lane and the access road to York Acorn Rugby League Car Park (closed road) during the period when road safety improvement works being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 0800hrs and ending at 1600hrs on the 22nd day of October 2017 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(2) FEASEGATE, YORK This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Feasegate, York (closed road) during the period commencing at 0600hrs and ending at 1200hrs on the 5th day of November 2017 (works period) or at a time when nearby roof maintenance works being undertaken by crane operation from within the closed road have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.

(3) LOW PETERGATE, YORK



This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in that length of Low Petergate, York between its junctions with Stonegate and Grape Lane (closed road) during the period commencing at 1030hrs and ending at 1700hrs on the 8th day of November 2017 (work period) or at time when gas works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. No alternative route for diverted traffic will be available during the works period.

(4) ST MARY'S LANE, YORK



This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding and waiting in St Marys Lane, York between the respective south western property boundaries of No. s 4 and 7 (closed road) during the period commencing at 0001hrs 13th day of November 2017 and ending at 2400hrs on the 17th day of November 2017 (works period) or at a time when gas works being undertaken thereon have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted vehicles will be signed during the works period.

The above temporary Order will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns.
