TOPPING Pete Mathew and I would like to sincerely thank all of our dear family and friends for the wonderful support to us always but especially throughout the last year of Pete’s life and for all those who joined us on Monday, April 30, to say our goodbyes to Pete in such a fitting way. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Ward 31 at York Hospital, Oncology and Outpatients, to Vicky Coates, Palliative Care Nurse for her solid support and guidance, to Charles Bryce and his District Nurse Team, St Leonard’s Hospice at Home team for enabling Pete to spend his last days at home as was his wish. To Haxby Health Centre, GP’s and Pharmacy and for all the professional help and support we have received as a family. IPS have been exceptionally supportive to Pete throughout his illness and we are extremely grateful for this. The Co-op’s efficient and caring help to arrange such a special funeral appropriate for Pete. Thank you to Reverend Andrew Foster for his compassionate and humorous words at the service and for his support to Mathew and I at this time. Lastly we are so grateful to all family and friends for the generous donations to St Leonard’s Hospice at Home in Pete’s memory, over £956 at this time and rising.
