WOOD Michael Ex B.R. worker and York R.I. rugby player and constant traveller died on April 12th, 2017, aged 63. Beloved son of Lily and the late Frank, father to Catherine and Elizabeth, a cherished husband to Celia, and brother to Brenda, David, Eileen, Christine, Gillian and Sandra. He will be much missed. Funeral to take place in Ollerton (Notts) on Friday, April 28th, at 3.00p.m. Family flowers only, any donations to The Brain Tumour Charity. Please telephone 01377 232070 for further details.

A Hudson House legend who will always be remembered as 'Woody' by his former British Rail colleagues. I first met him during my time with the Regional Civil Engineers Office in York back in the 80's, where he introduced me to Friday lunchtimes at the 'Bar-Hotel' and eventually the wonderful world of 'Real-Ale'.
Since being diagnosed with Cancer we've only been able to meet on a couple of occasions to enjoy our 'shared' interest, but I will always remember our last session together in Doncaster with particular fondness. It was just the two of us revisiting pubs that we often ended up in after meetings at the local Area Office.
It saddens me greatly to think that we'll never be able to do that again, but I promise that you'll always be in my thoughts and that I will give what ever support I can to Gill and the Girls in the future....
