HOWARD Barrie John On June 16th, aged 64 years, peacefully in York Hospital following a short but cruel illness. He will be sadly missed by family and many friends in Bishopthorpe. Funeral service to be held at York Crematorium on Monday, July 4th at 1.40p.m. Donations in lieu if so desired to Martin House Hospice. I got to know Barry 51 years ago when we moved to Bish. He was such a happy carefree mate, a very good football player, and really enjoyed organising the BUFC activities all over the place. I will remember him from those days with a happy heart having known him and the memories we had together. Rest in peace my old mate Shaun xx
