WOOD Arthur Gerald Isles (Gerry) Aged 84, passed away following a brief illness on Sunday, August 30th, 2015 in Hull Royal Infirmary. Born in Leeds on September 14th, 1930, attended Pocklington School between 1939 - 1949. Gerry was a former Captain of Headingley and Harrogate Rugby Club, representing Yorkshire, the Army, Combined Services and North of England, playing against the All Blacks in 1954 as well as France. Gerry played for and was a passionate supporter of Pocklington Rugby Club. Gerry also played cricket for Pocklington C.C, Pocklington Pixies and Woodhouse Grange. He was a much loved husband to Margaret who predeceased him in 2009, brother to David and Liz, father to Julie, David, Rachael and Ruth, Grandpa to Marcus, Victoria, Joshua, Ben, Charlie, Lewis, Lizzie, Nick and Rebecca and great-grandpa to Eva-Mae. The funeral service and cremation is to be held on Friday, September 11th, 2015 at East Riding Crematorium, Octon, Cross Road, Driffield, East Yorkshire, YO25 3BL, starting at 11.00a.m. All welcome.
