I too am very sorry to hear of Mr. Heath's passing. I had tried somewhat fruitlessly to reach him as he was one of the last remaining veterans of the illustrious 156 Squadron Pathfinders based out of RAF Upwood in Cambridgeshire. He was also a Navigator and sadly experience the loss of his entire crew while on operations against the Germans in 1945. I hope that he enjoyed a long, happy and productive life...he certainly deserved to.

I would like to express my sympathy to Charlotte and family for the passing of Doug. I have just seen this notice or I would have written earlier. Doug and Char were my godparents so I am so sorry to hear of this. I have notified one of Doug's former crew's sister and also my own family and the 156 Squadron Facebook page. Love to you Charlotte.
