HARRY COLLINSON (31), Mark Cook (36), Kieran Fenwick and Thomas Hogg (46 not out) were the foundation to Thirsk's 187-4 at Sheriff Hutton Bridge II in York & District Senior League Galtres division two.

Bridge's top order hit back, however, as Paul Oldfield (55no), Nick Scaling (42), and Connor Campbell (49) helped them take just 28 overs to win by seven wickets when they closed at 188-3 to take full points.

Ripon will consider themselves unlucky when their match at home to Woodhouse Grange II was abandoned midway through the second innings with home side on 98-2 chasing down the visitors' 173-8.

Matt Durkin (65) was among the runs again for Woodhouse, while Rob Taylor was 42 not out for Ripon when the match was halted.

Pannal's indifferent form continued at home when they were beaten by Duncombe Park.

The hosts chalked up 179-9, with Rob Ellis (36) and Andy Johnson (46) the top-scorers as James Skelton (4-47) and veteran Peter Kent (3-51) were among the wickets.

But it was Josh Butler (54) and Alex Medd (33no) who ensured victory in the second innings when they closed on 180-5.

Tadcaster Magnet (136-3) beat Easingwold II by seven wickets when they successfully chased down 135-9 after Tyrone Naude had taken 6-37. Phil Smith (56) top-scored for Tadcaster as they won with overs to spare.

Ethan Parsons hit an unbeaten 85 for Thorp Arch & Boston Spa (199-5) in their drawn game at Hovingham (126-9), while Steve Mosey bagged 4-56 for the hosts.

Edward Robinson scored 64 in the second innings to prevent the visitors taking all the points.

New Earswick (90-1) look on target to win Galtres division three following their nine-wicket win at home to Rowntrees & Huntington, who were reduced to 89, thanks mainly to Martyn Hewitson' s 5-13.

In the second half, New Earswick were guided home to victory by Andy Routledge's unbeaten 39.

York IV (99-3) came out on top at home to Civil Service II (98).

Nauman Reayat (34no) top scored for Civil Service after their innings was cut short by the bowling of Sam Backhouse (4-7). Matt Swaddle's unbeaten 41 saw York to victory.

Tom Piercy (57), Edward Wright (52) and Sean Dixon were among the runs for Huby in their 241-8 at Dringhouses II.

Despite Andy Kenyon's 25 and Murray Coyle's 26, Dringhouses were bowled out for 98 to give Huby an emphatic success.

Woodhouse Grange III's Luke Wilson hit 60 and Marcus Smith 94 as they posted 251-4 at home to Stillington. Despite runs from Barry Milburn (49), Steve Crowder (48), and Tim Jarvis (49no), the visitors closed short of the required target at 217-6.

Osbaldwick II (86-4) took a step towards winning Galtres division four after they completed a six-wicket triumph at Copmanthorpe II.

Copmanthorpe were shot out for 85, with Andy Hall bagging 4-14.

Hall (30no) completed a fine all-round performance as he and James Jaques (38no) saw the visitors over the line.

Hovingham II kept up the pressure at the top after they recorded an eight-wicket victory at Stillington II.

In a rain-disrupted encounter, Peter Coulthard (3-17) and Paul Higginbottom (4-15) helped restrict Stillington to 66-8, and then Charlie Thorpe was 26 not out as Hovingham closed at 68-2 to take full points.

Huby II were bowled out for 89 at home by Sheriff Hutton II after Phil Headington took 3-21 and Gordon Moore 4-18.

The visitors did not have it all their own way though with James Pocklington weighing in with 3-26 in their five-wicket success.

Duncombe Park II beat New Earswick II by eight runs.

Having posted 110, the hosts had skipper David Dunn to thank for their win after his 5-11, including a hat-trick, carried them through to full points, despite the best efforts of Stuart Masheder (50).

JONATHAN DILKS (75no) was again among the runs for Carlton Towers as they came away from Yapham with a nine-wicket win in Ebor division two.

Yapham posted 107, with skipper Jack Holman making 28 not out, but Dilks led the way for Carlton as they crossed the line in the 31st over.

Leaders Dringhouses had Andy Simpson (65), Tom Owen (47) and Chris Evans to thanks for their 230-9 at Clifton Alliance II (99).

After tea, second-innings wickets from Owen (3-27) and Tom Storr (3-32) helped see their side to full points.

Matty Clark hit an unbeaten 100 as Hemingbrough racked up 252-4 declared at home to York III, with further runs coming from Matthew Milburn (58), Tom Collins (38) and Layton Hallam.

David Brown (46) top-scored for York as off-spinner Rob Peet’s 3-60 helped restrict the visitors to 185-9 to give Hemingbrough the bulk of the points.

Ben Shingles’ 6-31 for Londesborough Park restricted Heworth II to 109-9 at Elm Park Way, and Park came away winners by eight wickets thanks to runs from James Beevers (44no) and Greg Drewery (43).

William Spencer hit an unbeaten 64 and Danny Foxton 33 as Malton & Old Malton II (166-5) successfully chased down the 163-9 posted by hosts Acomb II.

Ebor division three leaders Stamford Bridge II (179) took the bulk of the points at second-placed Whitkirk II (171-9).

Andrew Healey led the way with 55 for the visitors, while James Ineson (3-37) and James Fletcher (3-33) both did well for Whitkirk.

Ineson (51no) then led the way for Whitkirk with the bat as they tried in vain to chase down the required target but Ollie Pimlott’s 4-54 gave Stamford a winning draw.

Prashant Pandey took 6-17 for Castleford II (65-1) to bowl out Pocklington II (64) at Savile Park, Nathan Smith (49no) then sealing the win for the home side.

Kevin Lund (39no) top-scored for Selby II as they posted 100-8 at home to Copmanthorpe after Salam Syed had taken 3-12 for the visitors.

In reply, Darren Hughes (55no) and Mark Else (33no) took Copmanthorpe (103-0) to a ten-wicket win.

Adam Sutcliffe (75) was among the runs for Dunnington II as they set hosts Cawood 176 to beat.

James Pullein bagged 6-30 for the hosts, but it was Sutcliffe’s day as he took 5-34 to restrict Cawood to 156-8 to give Dunnington a winning draw.

Goole Town II (2190) had the better of a drawn game at Civil Service (176-6). Matthew Cooper had hit 64 for the visitors in the first innings as Harry Clish grabbed 5-40 for the home side. William Phelps then top-scored with 68 as Civil Service closed 43 runs short.

In Ebor division four, Heworth IV were restricted to 111-9 at Drax (115-3), with Joe Raynor (3-23) and Julian Green (3-8) among the wickets for the home side. Kelvin Brook (36no) and Ben Worley (41) were the foundations in a seven-wicket win that keeps Drax at the top.

However, North Duffield closed to within two points of them after racking up 192-6 declared off 25 overs at home to Cawood II.

Jamie Pickles (45) top-scored for North Duffield, while Owen Cammy weighed in with 3-75.

The Cawood (80) challenge came unstuck, thanks in the main to James Knibb bagging 5-22.

Peter Atkinson hit 75 for Bolton Percy II in their 181-5 at Carlton Towers II (184-5).

However, it was not enough as Oliver Lister (84) and Henry Bayston (43) were among the runs for the hosts as they cruised it with the best part of 14 overs to spare.

Thorp Arch & Boston Spa II (183-7 dec) were another side to have the best of a drawn game, but their total was nearly chased down by Woodhouse Grange IV (181-8), who ran out of overs.

Richard Williams (36no) had top scored for TABS, while Gary Chapple (40) and Ewan Miller (74) were the mainstays of the visitors’ challenge.
