YORK Lokomotive resume their quest for maiden silverware as they host Castleford Panthers ‘A’ tomorrow night (7pm).

A surprise defeat for title rivals Bradford Dudley Hill ‘A’ to Normanton ‘A’ last Thursday means the Lokos will lift the Yorkshire Men’s League group two crown - their first trophy since forming - if they win their last three matches.

It promises to be tough and exciting, though, with second-placed Shaw Cross ‘A’ and Normanton to follow the Panthers.

Matt Chapman (knee) and Matt Turner (ribs) are out for the season while Liam Watling (shoulder) is a doubt tomorrow. Chapman, also a committee man, said: “If we now win all our games, we’ll win the league.

“Shaw Cross is the big one but we’re treating every game the same. We have a lot of availability this week and everyone is keen as mustard.”

The game has been switched to tomorrow as the Lokos’ York RI ground hosts football and rugby union matches on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Lokos will be hoping old foes Scarborough Pirates ‘A’ take points off Shaw Cross, while Heworth ‘A’ entertain Huddersfield YMCA.
