YORKSHIRE Bowling Association eked out a knockout double.
The county ranks edged a Middleton Cup clash against Nottinghamshire by one shot, while less than a day later, the double rinks team demolished Derbyshire 47-30 in the Balcomb Trophy.
In the Middleton Cup exchange, Yorkshire led by two shots at halfway.
Their opponents, however, turned the tie around to have a four-shot advantage after 18 ends.
Yorkshire clawed back the deficit to win 113-112 with the rink led by York’s Paul Humphreys scoring 16 shots without reply over the final six ends.
The Balcomb Trophy success, which sealed a place in the regional finals at Kirkbymoorside on June 22, was far more comfortable.
Yorkshire powered 17-1 up after five ends en route to a convincing 47-30 conquest of Derbyshire rally.
