YORK athlete Richard Buck has missed out on a place in the 24-strong Great Britain team for the inaugural IAAF World Relay Championships in the Bahamas later this month.

Britain will send men’s and women’s teams in the 4x100 metres and 4x400m to the event in Nassau on May 24 to 25 after which the top eight teams will automatically qualify for the 2015 World Championships in Beijing.

City of York Athletic Club’s Buck, who has bagged world and European relay medals, has not been included in the six-strong men’s 4x400m squad, which comprises Dan Awde, Michael Bingham, Jamie Bowie, Nigel Levine, Martyn Rooney and Conrad Williams.
