YORK City officials have confirmed tonight's Sky Bet League Two play-off semi-final first leg tie against Fleetwood Town WILL go ahead as planned.
The game was rescheduled for tonight after being washed out on Saturday and the referee is happy with the state of the Bootham Crescent pitch despite a heavy afternoon shower.
A City statement said: "We are pleased and proud to announce that tonight's Play-Off Semi-Final against Fleetwood Town has beaten the weather and is definitely on.
"The referee has looked at the pitch and described it as 'an amazing transformation' and the surface as 'fantastic'.
"Congratulations to the ground staff whose hard work made this possible."
The all-ticket game - which is a sell-out for home fans - will kick off at 7.45pm.
