THE draws have been made for the 85th year of the York Charity Cricket Cup competitions.
A total of six teams will contest the Senior Cup, with holders Woodhouse Grange taking on York in round one.
There has been a resurgence of interest among junior clubs, with Junior Charity Cup entries rising to 20 from last year's low of 15.
Holders Tadcaster Magnets will travel to New Earswick in the preliminary round.
Draws
Minster Engineering Senior Charity Cup
Round 1: Woodhouse Grange v York, Clifton Alliance v Sessay. Byes - Acomb and Easingwold.
Semi-finals: Woodhouse Grange or York v Acomb (to be played at Osbaldwick on June 26), Clifton Alliance or Sessay v Easingwold (to be played at Acomb on June 23).
The final will be played at Clifton Park, York, on Monday, July 7.
Stephensons Estate Agents Junior Charity Cup
Preliminary round: Rufforth v Stamford Bridge, New Earswick v Tadcaster Magnet, Hemingbrough v Westow, Escrick Park v Dringhouses. Ties to be played by May 31.
Round 1: Dunnington v Ovington, South Milford v New Earswick or Tadcaster Magnets, Hemingbrough or Westow v Woodhouse Grange II, Heworth v Acomb II, Clifton Alliance II v Cawood, York II v Osbaldwick, Escrick Park or Dringhouses v Stockton & Hopgrove, Rufforth or Stamford Bridge v Pocklington. Ties to be played by June 11.
The semi-finals will be played at Heworth on June 30 and Acomb on July 3, with the final at Osbaldwick on Thursday, July 17.
