Drax completed the double over Eggborough Rangers to keep their promotion hopes alive.
A Drax opener from James Barrett was matched by a deflected Sean Gandy shot.
Gandy then gave Rangers the lead but Barrett struck his second before Kevin Newlove put Drax 3-2 in front at the break.
Drax dominated the second period and ran out 5-2 winners when Barrett struck twice to take his tally to four.
• York Nomads are through to the semi-finals of the Ian’s Cars of Barlby League Cup after beating Albion Vaults 4-3 on penalties.
Tom Wheatland gave Nomads a first-half lead but this was cancelled out in the second period by Albion’s Danny Hewitt.
The tie then went to penalties where Nomads held their nerve with Chris Bilton, Kallum Horne, Tom Wheatland and ’keeper Tom Young all scoring from the spot. Young also saved two Albion penalties.
