A NEW zebra crossing will soon be built on Campleshon Road in York.
City of York Council has agreed to put in a zebra crossing and improve the bus stops to make the area crossing safer for children on their way to and from Knavesmire Primary School, as the Terry’s Chocolate works development progresses.
Temporary traffic lights will be used when the work is going on from July 24 until early September.
Work will take place from 9.15am to 4.15pm seven days a week, except on August 6 and 7 when the York 10k run is taking place. Resurfacing work will be done and a speed table built from September 1 to 3.
