A MOTORIST is recovering from head injuries following a four-car crash on the A64.
The crash happened near Malton, at the junction of Sandy Lane between the Jinnah restaurant and Harton turn-off at about 5.10pm on Saturday.
It involved a blue Nissan Almera, a blue Volkswagen Gold, a silver Vauxhall Astra and a grey Volvo.
North Yorkshire Police said the driver of the Nissan - a 34-year-old Leeds man - suffered injuries to his head and leg, and was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, where he remains.
The driver of the Volvo was taken to York hospital with minor injuries and later discharged.
