THE National Police Air Service was called to York this morning after an alarm went off at a gun business.
North Yorkshire Police were alerted to an alarm activation at York Guns Ltd in Dunnington at 12.20am today.
Officers headed to the scene with additional support from the National Police Air Service.
Following a full search of the premises, it was established that it was a false alarm, North Yorkshire Police said.
A spokesman for York Guns Ltd, said their hi-tech security system had been able to establish there were no intruders in the property.
He said: "Obviously with the nature of the business, the security has to be top notch."
