RICHARD III will be reburied in Leicester Cathedral next spring, in a televised ceremony and after three days when members of the public will be able to pay their respects.
Details have been announced for the reinterment, which will see the king’s bones leave the University of Leicester on March 22 and travel to Bosworth for a day of events marking the events of Richard’s final days.
The remains will then return to Leicester Cathedral and the coffin, covered with a commissioned pall, will lie for three days to allow for members of the public to pay their respects.
The invitation-only reinterment service will take place on Thursday, March 26 and will be broadcast live on Channel 4.
