HUNDREDS of “insect scientists” from around the world will descend on York next week.
The European Congress of Entomology will take place from this Sunday until Friday ( August 3- 8) at the University of York.
Entomology is the study of insects and more than 600 scientists from all over the world will gather to discuss their six-legged friends and foes. Hosted by the Royal Entomological Society, one of the world’s leading scientific societies devoted solely to insects, the congress will bring together entomologists from 68 nations and will be the largest conference on all aspects of insect science to be held in the UK for over two decades.
Over 340 other scientists will present their work during the congress, many of them at the forefront of their respective fields.
