EMERGENCY services were on the scene of a collision in Tower Street yesterday afternoon.

North Yorkshire Police was contacted by the ambulance service at around 1.15 pm following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman, suffered cuts and bruises in the incident, and was treated at the scene.
