TOP actor Tony Curran has dined out at an Indian restaurant in York.
Curran, whose films include Gladiator and Blade II and TV appearances include playing Vincent Van Gogh in an episode of Dr Who, turned up at the Raj in Bootham.
Owner Raj Ahmad said: "He made a booking under a different name but when he turned up I knew him straight away, and got a photo and his autograph.
"He said they were looking for a good Indian, as he loves Indian food, and looked online and found out that The Raj was a finalist for restaurant of the Year 2014, so this was enough to make him book a table for six, him and his entourage.
"He loved his meal; they all did. I've been open not even for two years and to attract big names like this is overwhelming."
