A MAN suffered serious injuries and was left permanently scarred after being attacked in a Harrogate bar.

The 33-year-old local man was at Rehab Bar in Parliament Street at about 2.45am on Friday, June 20, when he was assaulted, and lost a tooth.

He also suffered a large cut to his lip, which will leave a permanent scar, and a black eye.

A 35-year-old local man has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail.

North Yorkshire Police believe there were a lot of people in the bar at the time of the incident and urged anyone who saw what happened to contact them.

Anyone with information should phone North Yorkshire Police on 101, email fiona.saunderson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
