Police are appealing for help in finding a 41-year-old man missing from his home in Heworth.

Mandeep Ahluwalia was last seen by his mother yesterday afternoon in York and police and his family are very concerned for his welfare. Sergeant Ray Milligan of York Police, said: “We are very worried for Mandeep’s welfare as it is very out of character for him to go missing. He does not have his mobile phone with him, so is out of contact. To our knowledge, he has no access to money as he left his bank cards behind.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen Mandeep in the Heworth and wider York area and to anyone who may have seen him using public transport, to please contact the police. Better still if Mandeep sees this appeal, we urge you to contact the police, your family or friends and let us know that you are safe.”

Mandeep is a slim man of Indian appearance with short black hair, black stubble and brown eyes. He was wearing a grey t-shirt and trousers and white and black trainers. He left his car behind.
