THE stage was set for a summer of music when the YO1 event in York launched the North's festival season.
Eight stages delivered Sunday's entertainment on the Knavesmire featuring a wide range of musical talent and artists.
There was also a street food festival and selection of mouth-watering beers at a micro ale festival to get music fans into the party spirit.
The one-day event was being held for the third year on the race course and with no camping facilities offered an early summer boost to the hotel trade.
The festival takes place on the Sunday of the first May Bank Holiday and last year's event was hailed as a triumph by festival goers all over the country.
