THE FURRY face of Selby District Council’s anti-dog fouling pledge - Paws and Pick it Up - has been chosen. Husky ‘Lola’ received more than 420 votes in the final of the council’s competition, which started in July when the authority’s Don’t be a Waster – Reduce, Reuse, Respect campaign focussed on the issue of dog fouling. More than 60 people with dogs pledged to be responsible dog owners and entered their canines in the competition to find the face of the Paws and Pick it Up campaign, and win prizes donated by Jollyes Pet Superstore. Owner Danielle Sheldon said: “My daughters, Keeley and Brooke, were really excited when Lola won and we’re over the moon that she’ll be the face of this campaign.”
