THE Grand Opera House in York will host Rock of Ages The Musical for the next four days as it comes to York on its nationwide tour.

Audiences can enjoy the story of a rocker and small town girl falling in love to the greatest love songs of the 1980s as part of a celebration of Los Angeles rock culture.

Television actor Ben Richards stars as rock god Stacee Jax in the musical, which started yesterday, actress Cordelia Farnworth plays Sherrie Christian, and singer Noel Sullivan stars as Drew Boiley.

Tunes such as ‘We Built this City’, ‘I Wanna Know What Love Is’ and ‘The Final Countdown’ feature in the play which was released as a movie in 2012.
