THE fifth annual Prince's Trust Fashion Dinner will be held at the National Railway Museum next month.

This year's event, the first to take place at the NRM, will run with a vintage theme, to raise funds to help disadvantaged young people in the region into jobs, and will be headlined by an exclusive showing of Matthew Williamson's latest collection.

The evening will include a reception on the Station Hall platform, surrounded by carriages of the Royal Family, followed by the runway show and a three-course dinner served on the platform.

Alan Cass, events sales manager at the NRM, said: "We are thrilled to be hosting this glittering event in our Station Hall where guests can dine surrounded by the glamour of the golden days of the railways."

The event will be hosted by TV and radio presenter and Prince’s Trust Ambassador, Jameela Jamil, and include stories from young people helped by The Prince’s Trust, with an auction of ‘money-can’t buy’ items and experiences including, stays at Langham Place New York, and tickets to the X Factor live final in December.

Jameela said: "It’s an exciting event with a beautiful show from Matthew Williamson and I’m hoping that we can raise even more than last year. It is fantastic to see fashion helping to raise funds to go straight towards helping young people all over Yorkshire and the Humber to ensure that they don’t get forgotten."

Chairman of The Prince’s Trust Yorkshire and the Humber Development Committee, Richard Jackson MBE DL, said: “We wanted to find a venue that would reflect the vintage theme of the Fashion Dinner this year, so where better to host it than amongst some of the UK’s oldest and most iconic trains at the National Railway Museum."
