Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash when a motorcyclist collided with a group of pedestrians in Robin Hood's Bay near Whitby.
The 31-year-old rider's black and orange KTM 265 was heading towards Fylingthorpe on Thorpe Lane when it left the road and hit the walkers at 1pm on Friday.
One pedestrian, a 44-year-old local woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Scarborough Hospital, as was the rider, who also had serious injuries.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident to contact them.
