THE 116th Bishop Wilton show went ahead in style this weekend, despite heavy rainstorms which threatened to put an early end to celebrations.
The show was for the first time at its new venue on High Callis Wold Farm, high on Garrowby Hill, and organisers said the site withstood the bad weather well.
Show secretary Ed Hutchinson said: "It's been a great show. We've had a wet afternoon, but it's been a fantastic day and our new venue has been a complete success."
First time attractions at the show this year included Atkinson's stunt horses, who kept going with their performance despite the wet weather and proved popular with spectators.
Through the afternoon, showgoers were entertained by folk band the Scruffy Pigs, but the stars of the show were the traditional classes.
Ed added: "We've had good visitors numbers and lots of entries in the classes, and a very goof craft tent this year.
"The wolds half marathon was very popular with its new finishing line on the showground."
The date has already been set for next year's event on Saturday, July 18.
