A PENSIONER was injured when he was struck by a van in York.
North Yorkshire Police said the 72-year-old man from the Durham area, sustained a broken elbow and a swollen knee when he was hit by a maroon van, possibly a Ford Transit, in Coppergate at the junction with Parliament Street at about 10am on Saturday.
The driver of the van stopped at the scene for a few minutes before driving off without leaving his details.
Police have appealed to the driver to contact them on 101
