A DEBUT national award for technician’s in higher eduction has been scooped by a University of York employee.
Matt Cornock won one of the first Higher Education Academy’s Health and Social Care Technician of the Year award.
The web and virtual learning environment coordinator, who works in the university’s Department of Social Policy and Social Work, is one of five winners of the award.
He will receive £250 in recognition of his contribution.
Mr Cornock said: “I am thrilled to receive this award and grateful to my colleagues and students who supported my nomination.”
Next month Mr Cornock will be moving to a new role within the university’s E-learning Development Team, co-ordinating York’s lecture recording service and advising colleagues in their use of learning technologies.
