A LORRY caught fire on a sliproad of the A64 today.
The HGV was travelling on the eastbound carriageway and was turning off, on to the A1079 when the cab caught fire.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire Service said crews from Acomb, York and Huntington had been sent to tackle the blaze, following the first call at 3.25pm.
She said the fire was extinguished by about 3.50pm.
