HUNDREDS of litres of diesel were stolen from lorries parked on the outskirts of a North Yorkshire town.
The theft occurred overnight between Sunday, April 27 and Monday , April 28, from two lorries parked on the B1257 on the outskirts of Helmsley.
The thieves stole about 400 litres of fuel.
PC Julian Hook, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you noticed any unusual vehicles in the Helmsley area around the time of the theft, I urge you to contact the police straight away.”
