A MAN has been stabbed outside a pub in Whitby.
Officers have arrested a 31-year-old local man on suspicion of attempted murder after an altercation outside the Hare and Hounds at High Hawsker, at around 10pm on Sunday.
The victim, a 30-year-old man from Derbyshire, was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesborough for surgery on his stab wounds and is now in a stable condition.
The suspect was arrested at 1.55am today near Hawsker. An area outside the pub was cordoned off for a forensic examination which has now been completed, but police still want to hear from any witnesses.
