POLICE in Selby have found and arrested a Polish man who was the subject of an European warrant.
A warrant was issued by a court in Poland for the arrest of Piotr Hubert Rzeznik, 33, who was wanted for burglary and theft offences.
Officers had tried to locate Rzeznik since December, and this week appealed to the public for help. He was arrested at an address in Volta Street, Selby, on Monday, and remanded into custody.
Insp Michelle Falkingham, of Selby safer neighbourhood team, thanked the public for their help in finding Rzeznik, who was due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
