A PEDESTRIAN has suffered serious leg injuries after being hit by a car which failed to stop at the scene of the crash in North Yorkshire.
The 35-year-old was injured when he was struck on Station Parade, near the junction with York Place in Harrogate, at about 6pm yesterday. The car involved was a blue Vauxhall Corsa.
The car did not stop but its passenger-side wing mirror was broken off. North Yorkshire Police has appealed for the driver and anybody who saw the collision to contact them. Officers also want anybody who has seen a Corsa matching the description and with a wing mirror missing, or people in the motor trade who have been asked to supply a new mirror, to come forward.
Information should be passed to the force by phoning 101 and asking for Pc Mark Mullins, or by emailing mark.mullins@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.
