A BOY from near York has been crowned as the youngest winner of the Novice Driver Of The Year title at the UK’s leading kart track.
Ethan Kaye, eight, picked up his award at PF international. He started driving an electric jeep at three then moved to indoor karts at six, where he won races and held the lap record at Daytona in Manchester.
He now races in the TVKC Honda cadet championship and is also part of racing team CKS.
The youngest driver to collect the most points of any novice across all age groups and championships, Ethan passed his full MSA licence in February, but is already flying around the track at an impressive 55 mph. He said: “My dream is to one day race around the track and be on the podium as an F1 driver like my hero Lewis Hamilton.”
