A MAN suffered suspected neck and back injuries after the van he was driving came off the road and fell 15 feet down an embankment in North Yorkshire.
Emergency services were called to Hall Ings Lane, at the junction with Lidsty Hill, Spaunton, at 5.20am today.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service said crews from Kirkbymoorside and Pickering went to the accident which involved a male driver in a Vauxhall van.
"The vehicle left the road, falling approximately 15 feet, with the vehicle coming to rest at the bottom of an embankment," he said.
The driver was trapped in the vehicle by his injuries. Fire crews helped paramedics in getting him onto a spinal board and back up to safe ground, into an ambulance. He was taken to hospital via road ambulance with suspected neck and back injuries.
