6:17pm Friday 11th October 2013 in News
A STUDENT had his cheekbone, jaw and eye socket broken in a morning attack as he walked to York College.
The 19-year-old was with a group of friends who had just left Tesco’s Askham Bar store when an argument broke out between them and two men. When the victim stood up for a younger member of his group, he was attacked.
The assault happened between 10.35am and 10.45am on Wednesday on the pathway leading to the Sim Balk Lane college, police said today.
The attackers are both about 18 and white, with one about 6ft tall, stocky and wearing a grey shirt and the other being about 5ft 11in tall, slim and with ginger hair.
Anybody who saw the assault should phone Detective Constable Chris Hogg at York CID on 101.
