Three injured in North Yorkshire crash
A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital and two other people have been injured in a crash in North Yorkshire.
The crash happened on the A61 between Ripon and the A1, at about 2.15pm today, and involved a Renault Megane, a Ford Fiesta, and a Nissan Qashqai.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said a 49-year-old woman has been airlifted to the Leeds General Infirmary, but her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Two other drivers were taken by ambulance to Harrogate District Hospital. Their injuries were also not expected to be life-threatening.
The road is currently closed to allow the vehicles to be recovered, but the spokesman said it would be closed until at least 6.30pm due to fluid on the road.
Anyone who saw the crash, or any of the vehicles prior to the incident should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
